About the PDF to JPG
Convert PDF pages into images you can share on WhatsApp, post on social media, insert into slides or upload where only pictures are accepted.
Choose JPG for small files or PNG for the sharpest text, pick a quality level and select all pages or just a few. Every page is shown as a preview and can be downloaded on its own or all together in a ZIP.
How to use the PDF to JPG
- Choose or drop a PDF file.
- Pick the image format and quality. High (144 DPI) suits most uses.
- Optionally type the pages, e.g.
1-3. - Click Convert to images, then download single pages or Download all (ZIP).
How it works
Pages are drawn by Mozilla's open-source pdf.js renderer. PDF sizes are measured at 72 points per inch, so Standard renders at 72 DPI, High at 144 DPI (2×) and Very high at 216 DPI (3×). An A4 page at 144 DPI becomes about 1190 × 1684 pixels. Transparent areas are filled with white.
Examples
- Send page 1 of a PDF certificate as a JPG on WhatsApp: pages
1, JPG, High. - Turn a 12-page brochure into images for social media: all pages, PNG, Very high.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to your server?
No. The PDF is opened and processed by your own browser. It never leaves your device, so it is safe to use with private documents.
JPG or PNG — which is better?
JPG gives much smaller files and is ideal for photos and sharing. PNG is lossless, so text and line drawings stay perfectly crisp, but files are larger.
Why does a large PDF take time?
Each page is rendered as a full image on your device. High quality on many pages needs more processing; it is still faster than uploading to a server.
