About the Land Area Converter
Buying, selling or building on a plot? Convert land sizes between local units used in Pakistan — marla and kanal — and square feet, square metres, square yards, acres and hectares.
Marla sizes vary between areas and housing societies, so always confirm the definition in your property documents.
How to use the Land Area Converter
- Enter the plot size.
- Choose the From and To units, for example marla to square feet.
- Open the full table to see the size in every unit.
How it works
This converter uses the widely used standard:
- 1 marla = 225 sq ft ≈ 20.90 m²
- 1 kanal = 20 marla = 4,500 sq ft ≈ 418.06 m²
- 1 acre = 43,560 sq ft ≈ 4,046.86 m²
- 1 hectare = 10,000 m²
Some areas use 250 or 272.25 sq ft per marla; for those, convert to square feet using your local value.
Examples
- 5 marla = 1,125 sq ft
- 10 marla = 2,250 sq ft ≈ 209.03 m²
- 1 kanal = 4,500 sq ft
