About the Unit Converter

One converter for everyday units. Choose a category, type a value and pick the units — the result appears instantly with the conversion factor, plus a table showing the value in every unit of that category.

It covers metric and imperial units as well as units commonly used in Pakistan and South Asia, such as marla and kanal for land and tola and maund for weight.

How to use the Unit Converter

  1. Choose what you want to convert, for example Length or Temperature.
  2. Enter the value.
  3. Choose the From and To units. Use the swap button to reverse them.
  4. Open Show this value in every unit to see all conversions at once.

How it works

Each unit is defined by how many base units it equals (for length the base is the metre). A value is converted to the base unit and then to the target unit:

  • Result = Value × (From factor ÷ To factor)

Temperature is different because the scales have different zero points:

  • °F = °C × 9/5 + 32
  • °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
  • K = °C + 273.15

Land units used here: 1 marla = 225 sq ft and 1 kanal = 20 marla (4,500 sq ft). Some areas use a different marla size, so check local practice for property deals.

Examples

  • 10 km = 6.2137 mi
  • 70 kg = 154.32 lb
  • 37 °C = 98.6 °F
  • 10 marla = 2,250 sq ft ≈ 209.03 m²
  • 1 GB = 1,000 MB, while 1 GiB = 1,024 MiB

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between GB and GiB?

GB (gigabyte) uses powers of 1000, so 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. GiB (gibibyte) uses powers of 1024, so 1 GiB = 1,073,741,824 bytes. Storage makers use GB; many operating systems show GiB.

How big is a marla?

This converter uses the common standard of 225 square feet per marla (and 20 marla per kanal). Some older or local measurements use 250 or 272 square feet, so confirm the definition used in your area.

How accurate are the conversions?

Factors use internationally defined values (for example 1 inch = 2.54 cm exactly) and results are shown with up to 8 decimal places.
