URL Encoder
Percent-encode text or URLs so they are safe to use in links and query strings.
Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.
About the URL Encoder
URLs can only contain certain characters. Spaces, Urdu text, &, ?, # and many symbols must be percent-encoded before they are placed in a link or query string, otherwise the link can break or send the wrong data.
Choose Query value to encode a single parameter value completely, or Full URL to encode a whole address while keeping its structure (:, /, ?, &, =).
How to use the URL Encoder
- Paste the text or URL.
- Choose Query value or Full URL.
- Tick Encode spaces as + for HTML-form style.
- Copy the encoded result.
How it works
Each unsafe character is converted to UTF-8 bytes and every byte is written as % followed by two hexadecimal digits. A space becomes %20 (or + in form encoding), & becomes %26, and the Urdu letter س becomes %D8%B3.
Query-value mode matches JavaScript's encodeURIComponent (plus ! ' ( ) *); full-URL mode matches encodeURI.

Frequently asked questions
Should I encode the whole URL or just the value?
Usually just the values you insert into a query string. Encoding the whole URL with value-mode would also encode : and /, breaking the link.
