Crop Image
Crop images with a draggable box, aspect-ratio presets like 1:1 and 16:9, or exact pixels.
Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.
About the Crop Image
Cut away unwanted edges, make a square profile picture, or crop a photo to an exact size for a website banner or ID form. Drag the box or its corners, or type the exact position and size in pixels.
Aspect-ratio presets keep the box in shape: 1:1 for profile photos and posts, 16:9 for YouTube thumbnails and screens, 4:3 and 3:2 for classic photos, and 9:16 for stories.
How to use the Crop Image
- Choose or drop an image.
- Pick an aspect ratio, or Free for any shape.
- Drag the box to move it and drag the corners to resize. Arrow keys move it by 1 px (Shift = 10 px).
- Fine-tune with X, Y, Width, Height if needed.
- Click Crop & download.
How it works
The crop box is measured in the image's real pixels, even though the preview is scaled down to fit your screen. X and Y are the distance of the top-left corner from the image's top-left corner. The cropped area is copied at full resolution — nothing is resized.
Examples
- A 4000 × 3000 photo cropped at 1:1 gives up to a 3000 × 3000 square.
- For a 1280 × 720 YouTube thumbnail, choose 16:9 and set the width to 1280.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. Your images are never sent to our server.
Does cropping reduce quality?
No. The selected area keeps its original pixels. Saving as JPG adds light compression; choose PNG for no quality change.
