About the Keyword Density Checker
Search engines reward content written naturally for people. Using your main keyword a few times helps, but repeating it too often (keyword stuffing) can look spammy.
Paste your text to see the most frequent words and phrases with their density. Enter a focus keyword to check how often it appears. Common words such as *the*, *and* and *is* can be ignored so the real topics stand out.
How to use the Keyword Density Checker
- Paste your article or page text.
- Choose single words, 2-word or 3-word phrases.
- Optionally enter your focus keyword.
- The table updates as you type.
How it works
Density = (times the word or phrase appears × number of words in it) ÷ total words × 100.
Words are matched without regard to case. Phrases that start or end with a common word are skipped when Ignore common words is ticked.
Examples
- A 600-word article that uses “brick calculator” 6 times: 6 × 2 ÷ 600 × 100 = 2% density — natural.
- The same phrase used 25 times would be over 8% — likely to read as stuffing.
